The Damned and The Adverts
headline a great double bill down the Roxy tonight.
Brian James, The Damned - (Dont Care collection)
Brian James of The Damned confronts his audience at another packed out Roxy show in the Covent Garden mecca.
Gaye Advert, The Adverts - (Don't Care collection)
Sultry Gaye Advert is starting to gain column space in the music weeklies, and it ain't for her bassplaying.
Other news today is more shennanigans within the Sex Pistols camp. Their manager Malcolm McLaren after agreeing by mutual consent with Glen Matlock leaving the band on friendly terms goes straight behind Matlocks back to the Music press with a completely different story via a telegram. Glen the scapegoat denies this. He told Tony Parsons of the NME "It was a mutual agreement. I wanted to leave and they wanted me out." We all know Johnny did'nt like Glen so he had to go whether he was pushed or not. Some feel this was the beginnng of the end for the band, but not before more hi-jinks in the coming year.
play Doncaster's Outlook club tonight
