release their debut album 'Rattus Norvegicus' today. An album named after the Latin term for Norwegian Rat , which was a huge piece of vermin. The 9 tracks recorded in 6 days comprised of entirely original material. The British music press of the day declared it sexist and accused the band of glorifying violent themes, that didn't stop this becoming one of the biggest selling punk albums of 1977 and an undoubted classic!
