Today's UK Music papers feature punk bands heavily. The boring Melody Maker goes out on a limb with a frontpage Johnny Rotten quote on the Sex Pistols A and M sacking. Meanwhile rival mag New Musical Express concentrates on a 3-page heart to heart conducted by Nick Kent with a very snotty and egotistical Tom Verlaine from Television. Mr Verlaine practically decimates the entire New York scene with his high fallutin snidey comments. Julie ' The Schoolie' Birchill investigates some of the latest punk zines to hit the streets like Out There, Panache from Stanwell, Penetration from Stockport, The New Wave magazine from Herts, Ripped And Torn from London and a load more unsung cut 'n' paste heroes!
